Does Persona level matter in fusion? ›

Each Persona has a base level — the number we've been referencing — and no matter what the levels are of the Personas you're fusing, the result will always arrive at the base level. So, simple enough: Sacrifice two or more Personas and make a stronger one.

Fusion techniques can be unlocked over time from Igor as well as from ranking up the Strength arcana, so be sure to check out our guide on it. Take two Persona and create another. Take three or more specific Personas to create one specific powerful Persona. Select one Persona and let it consume another to power up.

Igor will allow you the option to Fuse Personas in The Velvet Room. Present him with either two or three cards to fuse to create one new Persona. So, should you fuse your personas in Persona? The consensus seems to be that while it is not absolutely mandatory, it is highly recommended if you want to optimize your team's performance. Fusing personas allows you to create stronger allies with enhanced stats and access to more powerful abilities.

If you are exceeding the approximated level ranges when fusing two personas together (i.e., one is a higher level than what the fusion calculator is proposing for fusion material) then you will no longer be able to fuse for the desired persona.

How do I get advanced fusion p5r? ›

In order to unlock Advanced Fusion, you'll need to reach Rank One with the Strength Confidant by completing a simple fusion request from Caroline and Justine in the Velvet Room. They'll ask for a Jack Frost that knows the ice ability Mabufu.

When using the Gallows during a Fusion Alarm, the amount of experience gained is increased, and the strengthened Persona has a chance of inheriting two skills from the original Persona instead of the usual one. In addition, a Persona can be strengthened any number of times throughout the same day during an alarm.

She has access to dark magic making her a more powerful choice for the long term in SMT5. In addition, Leanan makes a good support party member with her healing capabilities using the Media +2 skill to cast heal on the party.

Only a Persona's base level (its starting level when you fuse it or get it from Shuffle Time) and Arcana affect the fusion result.

Generally speaking, leveling up Personas via combat is really inefficient anyway and you're meant to use Confidants and the Velvet Room to boost them up. Basically don't worry about it unless one of them is going to learn a very good skill next level. No need to care about Persona's level.

With their own menu in the fusion screen, special fusions require three or more Personas to fuse. The levels of the parent Personas will be close in level to the final Persona, meaning higher-level special, fusions require higher-level parent Personas, which quickly becomes expensive.

Once they've learned all their skills, the only things they gain with levels is more stats. Their resistances never improve. There is no other metric in which they can improve.
