Another month is almost gone (seriously, how is it almost August?), and Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is keeping things festive and floral for the summer months. We have chapters and Quidditch to catch up on as well as in-game goodies and special quests. Let’s see what’s in bloom.
In true summer fashion, July’s Magical Milestones outfit, Festively Floral, is perfect for outdoor summer celebrations. The various green tones throughout the clothing and muted floral colors have us wishing we were rocking this outfit while sipping a cold butterbeer at Madam Rosmerta’s.

You might have noticed some summer decorations out of place throughout Hogwarts. With so many helpers working to make Hogwarts festive, things got a little out of hand. For the Accio Wreath! special event, we were given clues to find misplaced items to earn a larger prize. Day 1 sent us to the West Towers, where we were given 30 energy. On Day 2, we went to the Dungeons and were rewarded with 500 coins. Day 3 led us to the Great Hall, and we received four red notebooks. Day 4 took us to the Castle Grounds with a reward of 800 coins, and on Day 5, we found ourselves in Hogsmeade and received another 30 energy.

Since our energy is full, it’s time to get back into the story line. After receiving quite the revelation in our previous update, Chapter 40 still leaves us reeling. We learn that even in the wizarding world, our family can complicate things to an unthinkable level. Chapter 41 begins with us meeting a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor – what can we expect from this new teacher? Is she one of the spies for “R,” or did she simply get stuck with the position nobody can seem to hold on to?
To keep our minds off of attempting to save the world, there’s a new Quidditch chapter waiting for you. In the previous chapter, we were researching the mysterious twins who transferred from Durmstrang. After some research and snooping, we conclude that the twins could be descendants of Dai Llewellyn, a famous Welsh Quidditch player. We decide it’s best to share this with key people on our team, and we’re waiting in suspense to hear what everyone thinks.
Now we need something to take our minds off of Quidditch too. Some friendly competition against other witches and wizards across the wizarding world came to Hogwarts Mystery. The Curse-Breaker’s Gambit gave us the chance to become a wizard chess champion – did you have what it took to earn the trophy for Hogwarts?

What kind of champion would we be if we didn’t have our favorite pets by our side? Keeping up with the festively floral theme, there are new pet looks you can purchase for your furry friends. Whether it’s a lovely basket with pastel charms and accents for your Kneazle, a pastel printed blanket for your Crup, or a giant pillow that somewhat resembles a flower for your toad, Hogwarts Mystery has whatever you need.

There’s a fun event making its way in-game that we think everyone will be excited about. Get ready for the Hogsmeade Summer Carnival! Players will earn tokens to play various carnival games and participate in summer activities. This is a time-limited event, so log in and get to playing.

We’ve heard some buzzing about a Billywig making its way to the Desert Dunes – be on the lookout to adopt this busy little creature. We’ve all come to rely on our in-game memory book to catch up on adventures that we didn’t quite get to finish. Now, we can access past dueling events so we can add more spells to our inventory. We’re pretty excited about this opportunity.
Talk about a busy and fruitful month. A carnival and some fun are exactly what our characters need right now. What do you think is next in the story line?
